Last weekend, we went out for the family dinner we havent had in years – also one of my happiest family dinners cum birthday celebrations! So much so that it deserves a separate post on its own. This weekend latest, i promise. Too tired to blog much now.

Messiness has a whole new meaning
Hello everybody.
Introducing you to my “new” workstation at home.
The messy floor.
Surrounded by this and that, there is a dedicated area (a.k.a parking space) for the bum which also happens to be the only available space on the floor which is safe for passing feet to tread on.
This has everything to do with the new hobby junney’s just picked up this few days.
Within 1 weekend, precious money have been blasted on cutesy/artsy/awesome things that can be used to distract her from other eviler thngs, such as online shopping, procrastinating, facebooking, and bejeweled blitzing.
At the very least, it is a more constructive use of time.
But i know its gonna be much more than that.
Afterall, i used to be an artsy student since p.sch days.
Ooh and all those ribbons, stickers and other embellishment are sooo pretty :)
I cant wait to start working on them!

I hope my cardi from MAZ is pretty and fits well… but i’m already gloating that i managed to get it at so cheap! :p At 11 bucks, i guess i wont be so heart pain if it comes slightly off-expectations. Although fortunately MAZ apparels are often quite satisfactory.
Well i dont really go around hunting for blogshops who sell this jacket, but I just happened to stumble upon them.

I’ve been waiting for their sale for months!
Grabbed my favourite everyday work heels at 20% off today. Same design, same color, 3 years, almost everyday at work. The most comfortable pair of heels i’ve ever worn. Airy, so minimize smelliness and hong kong feet. Classy with the ankle strap. And blister free because of the material of the shoes, satin cloth!
This pair of heels is absolute love. 10/10 for functionality and comfort!
Because I wear this pair of gems almost every work day, I really wear until the cloth almost worn off and the straps become loose.. even the cloth on the toes portion of the heels also wear off already (holey). Time for a change!
I’ve always had a weakness for booties… so here’s another one i couldnt resist adding to my collection.

On sale. Haha. Last size left – the smallest one…35. Yay!

And my other soft spot – braided gladiator sandals.

I’m thinking of spree-ing from MAZ again. I know – quite sinful. Especially since I only JUST bought some stuff from there weeks ago. But its SO affordable (compared to Singapore clothes) and much cuter/trendier!
Like this cardi im eyeing (i already got the solid black & white, and a white lace one of the same design oh gosh)…
It is only $8 can you believe it! With shipping thrown in, I think it barely hit $10. And haw haw, i saw it selling on some online blogshop for $25-ish… people who buy from there would have totally felt owned. :\
And guess how much this paint-splashed jumper costs…?

Its become my fiance’s and my favourite haunt for the following reasons:
1) Its got a mega 4 storey Forever21 flagship store (woot!)
2) Its got a mega Uniqlo store (fiance woots!)
3) Its got the most awesome Ding Tai Fung in Sg whose quality has been 101% since we first dined there (both woots!)
4) Its got other shoppable shops with frequent sales around the year – G2ooo, Cotton on, BYSI…
5) Its a stone’s throw from AND directly linked to Somerset MRT
6) Its happening enough yet not too crowded on a Saturday night
…yep. We had a great time twirling around the mall today. Was supposed to go walk the Southern Ridges but because of various reasons, like the crazy weather which was sauna hot yet seems like it was threatening to rain… and that yizhi came to try on clothes and we totally overshot the time.. and like we had to get some presents for some friend’s birthday… so there.
A great day nonetheless. Its never so much the place u go, the things u do, or the food u eat… but always the person you’re with that makes all the difference in the world. :)
Quick Fix
So when my fiance finally admits that retail therapy actually works, I realised I haven done any R.T. in a very long time. After some thought, I somehow reckoned that it was time I got myself some retail therapy done. Sigh, this Peak has been unusually long for me.
I found comfort in my favourite American store – F21… and walked out a happier girl with 3 flowy summery comfy tops and a stripey shorts! … And of cos, an emptier pocket (cringe). Note to self: Better not do this too often. :)
Had dinner with my bro and dad downstairs, packed my wardrobe a little, and then settled in front of my little prayer book to jot down prayer and praise items for both the boy and myself. We’re expecting a tough week ahead, but we know God’s in control. :)
Because its been some time since i did blog shopping, i decided to also randomly hop around the blogosphere to see if there’s any affordable stuff that fits my style and worth buying.
And I found this.

It’s 25 bucks and I got it from Absolute Closet, a new blogshop that just sprouted up in the blogofields not long ago. Looks pretty comfy, which was one of the reasons why I bought it. The other reason is, of cos, that its blue.
Nothing prepares me for a Monday better than prayer and retail therapy! :)

Junnebug in London
Hmm. It seems like i havent really gotten over jetlag despite holding out on the plane and concussing last night – i was sleepy at mid day in London… whilst shopping at Oxford Street! How can!
Anyways, its pretty cool in London, quite literally. I brought too little sweaters for the temperature cos i thought summer should be just fine…but thankfully i’ve prepared a few bulky ones for Edinburgh, so i should be well-covered if need be. Temperatures range from 14-24 degrees currently & i dress as though its autumn! Haha.. people must think im strange cos some can actually go out in their Tees!?
Today huiling and daryl cooked lobster for lunch… it was one gargantuan sea creature at 1.5 kilos!!!
Crazy rabbit is curious about this Monster Lobster.

We ate it with huiling’s home-baked bread & pear+guava tea. Awesome. After that we went down to Primark & it was a madhouse. I have NEVER seen SO many people in a shop before. Beats Orchard road and Argyle Centre hands down. Hl & I couldnt even WALK properly… it was suffocating! I gave up after 5 mins… well we could always go back again, but on a weekday please. Shopped at Dorothy Perkins & H&M too. Everywhere was on sale! Whee! Had a bite at Marks & Spencers before heading home. Their sandwiches & smoothies are awesome. So many yummy choices :)

Anyways its really late in London now, i fell asleep at 930pm earlier on, but have to wake up to pack for my cornwall trip tmr. Yep! Going down south to cornwall! Im sooo excited! We’re doing farmstays (mooo) and i’m looking at sailing, surfing lessons, and lots of hiking. Ok time to finish up my packing and go to bed. Toodles!
Hong Kong Day 1 & 2
Flew to Hong Kong with the Boy via Jetstar on the 3rd June 2009! :)
On day 1 we had a simple dinner at cafe de coral at the airport with uncle wong.
The next day began with our ‘usual’ breakfast of satay beef macaroni and bolobao! yum yum.
Day 2 : Shopping at Shatin! Raided Uniqlo for my favourite cut of jeans and bought some work shirts and a pair of denims. Afternoon tea was at Mun Kee, one of our usual dessert shops in hong kong also. haha.
We had dinner at home on day 2… I actually miss aga’s cooking too!
She cooks the awesomest (though oiliest) food! :p
Starting to feel at home at gordie’s hk abode now – afterall, i’ve been there 4 times already! :)
Spending time with the boy is always something i treasure very much…
Day 3 : Disneyland! Hopefully i’ll have time to post it up tmr :)
Retail therapy – Feb 2009
Which girl could resist a good dose of retail therapy? The F21 sale was smackingly delicious. I’d stock up on clothes online shopping and never spend my money in fexpensive singapore boutiques if i could help it. Way more affordable. Hehe. Snogged this tops on friday evening!

Especially to the 19 of you loyal readers who pop by even when i dont update. *touched* :)
Yes im still alive :)
Was just too occupied with the random adhoc jobs at work and lazing around my new room after work. :)
All in all, settling in has been… well not too shabby. i love my room and i thank God for not really feeling any lingering attachments to my previous abode. Strangely, i think i secretly like it better here. Its really windy where i stay, and my window faces the canal – therefore, its always gonna be breezy and comfortable all day long. i havent had the need to on air-con yet! the fan is sufficient to complement the breeze in keeping my room cool yet cozy. wheeeee.
I need to take some pics of how it looks like right now and show it to u guys.
Its still in-the-process-of, though. yep. im STILL unpacking my stuff bit by bit.
But with my spa like bed, brownblack shelf and my towering wardrobe, its already lookin guuuud.
Wait til i mount the mirrors on. Im sure its gonna look fantabulous. :)
WHAT I’VE BEEN DOING:
1) Not very much.
2) Bum after work at home. Watch tv and the like.
3) Recently applied for the UOB and DBS credit cards, which offers some pretty neat perks.
I hope i will never overspend, though there are signs of the opposite. I must control myself!
4) Have been spending money without really thinking about how much ive already spent. I seriously cant keep doing this man.
5) Occasionally indulge in the simple pleasures of shopping and spa. hiakz *sheepish laugh*
6) Been waking up for 15mins of QT with Mr God before washing up and getting ready for work. yay good girl.
7) Been using my coach bag everyday for the past month or so. And i heart it! Cutest bag in the world.
8) Reading bedtime stories at night. Just started on Angels & Demons by Dan Brown – nipped from the shelf of my bestie muahaha.
9) Been diligently slapping on moisturizer all over after bathing at night.. cant help but feel that my skin is beginning to feel the strain of age (!!!!)… my legs are kinda dry and my hands look like their 40. Argh!
10) Terrorizing the new A10s in my department. *evil laugh*
But sadly i dont get to terrorize them for more than a day, cos after chatting to them they generally are able to see past my veneer (that im actually *cough* very *cough* nice) and start bullying me. sniffles.

2) IKEA SHOPPING WITH THE SISTER

3 things i learnt about myself today
(1) Junney CANNOT resist good donuts.
(JCO rocks my socks!)
(2) Junney is much better off when she sleeps early.
(so that she doesnt feel hungry at night & end up gobbling some random unhealthy junkfood)
(& so that she gets her bio-clock back into order)
(& also to facilitate the 6am mornings she now haf to wake up for gym!)
(3) Junney is quite a GYM BUG. Yay.
(An hour a day zaps the bad fats away! Albeit slowly. :)
I also have a happy thing to announce today. :)))
For as long as i can remember, i have never spent more than a few happy hours out with the mother before. But today, with the grace of God, i had some mom time today after church. :) After picking my mom up from her school after fellowship, she was grinning from ear to ear as she hopped onto the car, cos she tot i had come to take her for lunch – so i did. Then we drove to ikea, ordered my new shelf and had tea together at the cafe. Mom was like a big child up to here – occasionally veering off and getting lost. Kind of endearing.
And then, we proceeded to IMM to get my new bed. Mom didnt like it. She started doing her mom thing again, insisting white would make my room look bigger and all that. In particular, that it takes up wayyy too much space, and that the dark color will make the room look real small. I concur, but still i insisted on the brown/black cos it would then match my shelf, and tt it’ll look spa-like. Pricey a lil, but since when could i resist spending money on things that pushed the right button?
Well, we also saw the swing i wanted to get. But to the swing, she vehemently objected to its practically and obviously, its price. Therefore to appease her, i didnt get it outright. We’ll see, i said. Phew. We didnt end up in any arguments! Hurrayyyy and praise the Lord for giving me loads of patience today.
Oh no.
I dont know (seriously) how come i’m holding on to one-half of a tiramisu JCO donut?!?!?!!??!
